There are many new faces in this film.

So, the Marauders (from the memory chapter where Harry goes into Snape's pensieve... hmmmm. Make of them what you will

Sirius far left, then James, Peter is the guy with his hair slicked back and Remus is the guy at the back to the left...

I'm so gutted about Sirius... I know that they've made him look like a younger version of how Sirius looks in the films... but what's with the wavy hair? He's supposed to look like an Emo boy! Yes??
And is it just me, or does James look like a girl? I'm hoping that's just a very bad pic of him as he looks rather fine in other ones.

But... ahhh... SNAPE!

I like. VERY MUCH :)

    The Trio

Daniel Radcliffe is currently doing a play Equus in the London, where he gets absolutely starkers. It's had rave reviews and is apparently going to Broadway (with him still playing the role of Alan) after he has finished filming the final HP film.

Producer David Pugh said: "We had never seen him with clothes off before. We all went 'Wow'. Thea went 'Oh my God'."

"For her, there was a certain relief. When we did the audition we never thought to say, 'Would you go naked for us?' We were so overwhelmed with his talent that we set that aside."

...

"There was no hesitancy about taking off his clothes," said Mr Pugh.

"He has a confidence in his own appearance. With the performances that I've witnessed, when that boy takes his shirt off, Harry Potter has flown out of Hogwarts for good."

Equus, which stars both Dan Radcliffe and Richard Griffiths, previews in London starting on February 16th with opening night scheduled for February 27th.

Lol, on principal, so would I, but they could make thousands on that.

Emma, 16 – who plays Hermione Granger in the wizard movies – has been lined up to star as a rebellious ringleader in a new St Trinian’s movie.

Daniel Radcliffe has shocked theatre fans by stripping off for his stage debut in ‘Equus’ - but Emma will be keeping her clothes on for her first venture outside Hogwarts.

A source said: “Emma has agreed in principle to star, pending final approval of the script, which is still undergoing re-writes. She thinks it will be a lot of fun and a good stepping stone away from the world of Harry Potter.”

Emma will star alongside Rupert Everett – who will take on the role of cross-dressing headmistress Millicent Fritton.

A Rupert Grint interview...
So you've just finished the fifth Harry Potter? That's right, yeah. Are you going to make all the movies through to number seven?

Yep, I want to do all of the movies if I can because I do really enjoy them.

Have they announced plans to start filming number six?

Yes, we start that one later this year. So we've got quite a big gap.

Is this to let Daniel and Emma go to school?

Yeah, I think so. I know that last year we didn't start quite as late and so I suppose that's got something to do with it, but I think that it's quite a long process to get them set up.

And you're done with school?

Yeah, I finished school when I was 16. I'm 18 now.

I heard that Emma Watson might leave the series before it's over. Do you know the story there?

I'm not actually sure. I don't really know the details, but I have heard that. I don't know. It would be weird without her, and it would be a sort of shame if she doesn't stick it out. It's not up to me because they do take up so much of your life. I don't know what she thinks, but I do hope that she doesn't leave.

Did she say anything while you've been filming like, "I can't take this anymore!"

No, not really. She hasn't really talked about it. I know me and Dan (Radcliffe) are going to stick it out. So we'll just have to see really. I hope she doesn't leave.

Do you have plans for life after Harry?

Yeah. I mean, I want to finish the Harry Potter films and start doing more low budget stuff because they're good fun and it's a good atmosphere and it's much more simple and relaxed.

Have you always wanted to be an actor?

I've always been involved in school plays and that was really my only kind of experience. Harry Potter & The Sorcerer's Stone was my first ever film. But I've had a really good time doing them and it's been a really good experience. I definitely want to do more stuff because it's good fun and I have a good time doing films.

What's your favourite Harry Potter movie?

I don't know. It's quite hard to separate them because they start to feel like one long film. The first one was good because it was a whole new experience. I mean, they're always good fun to make and there's such a good atmosphere on the set; it gets hard to choose. The fourth one was really good fun.

And you've met J.K. Rowling?

Yeah, we've met a couple of times because she comes down to the set occasionally, which is quite exciting.

Do you ever watch the films after they come out?

Yeah, well, I see them every once in a while. I don't make a conscious effort to go and see them, but they're on TV sometimes and it is quite weird looking back at them because you are so young. So, to me, it gets kind of strange. It's all right though.

Do you feel like you've had a normal childhood?

Not really, no, but I think that I've had a really good childhood. I haven't really missed that much except for school, which I'm not that worried about!

Do people come up to you and ask about Harry Potter all the time?

The films are quite big now, and I do get recognised but it's something that you don't ever really get used to. It's quite strange, but people are always really nice and usually like the films.

How has your life changed?

I suppose the biggest thing is getting recognised. But it's changed for the best really, I've gotten to go to places like New York, so I'm pretty grateful for that sort of thing. It's been pretty good. Look at Orlando Bloom who's done Rings and then Pirates.

Do you think you'll ever do another movie series or is this a once-in-a-lifetime thing?

(Laughs) I don't know. I've no idea really. I'm just going to have to wait and see, I guess.

Do you get a lot of letters from kids who want to be actors?

Yeah. I get letters and that's quite a strange thing as well. A lot of it comes from Japan and you get sent little presents. It's quite fun.

You have a romance going in the Harry Potter series, right?

That's in the sixth one, I think. There has always been a thing between Ron and Hermione, which has been played with subtlety. So we'll have to wait until the seventh one to see if that comes into anything.

Did you ever ask J.K. Rowling for hints about what's going to happen?

She doesn't give away anything!

And do you keep souvenirs from each movie?

I don't actually. From the first film, I've got a chess piece that gets blown up. I've got a little piece of that. But that's it really.

Some more film pics. I have to say, this Luna/Harry one is CUTE!

Though The Order of the Phoenix is the longest of the six published Potter novels, the production was the shortest, because Dan could devote more time to filming after leaving City of London School last summer, midway through the shoot.

...

Phoenix is the darkest, most intense, most complex Potter film so far. 'It was also the most fun I've had on any of them,' he says. Not because there are love/kissing scenes - 'although they were good!' - but because he's a big fan of director David Yates. And because he got to work intently with Oldman (Sirius Black) and Staunton (Dolores Umbridge).

...

David Heyman, producer of the Potter films, says that the seventh and final film will be done by 2010. But by 2010, Dan will be 20. Is he committed to the seventh Potter film? For once, his easy conversational flow falters. 'Um, nnnnot for cer ... sure. But if I did the sixth one, which I probably will, I think it'll be really weird not to do the last one. If you've come that far you might as well finish them.'

What does he think will happen in the final book? Will he die?

'I think I will. I sort of hope I will, really. I think that's really the only way Jo can end it, if Harry and Voldemort... Maybe one can only die if the other one dies. I don't know that for sure. But I'm quite looking forward to doing a death scene, if I get that opportunity.'

“When I’ve shot the last scene of the last movie, I will be devastated. Harry Potter has provided my friends, seen me through my exams. I’ve had my first girlfriend, my first kiss. It’s been my life.” Does Harry need to die for Radcliffe to be finally free of him? “I want him to die because I have a melodramatic yearning for a death scene. And the prophecy in the fifth book says only one of Harry and Voldemort can live. Or is it that neither can live while the other survives? Oh God, what is it? The fans will kill me if I’ve got that wrong.” (
LMAO! I love him!)

But honestly, he says, he has no idea of how the series will end. Nor does he want to. He's a Potter fan, like everyone else.

An interview with Daniel Radcliffe:

HL: In the new Harry Potter film, we will see an angry and dark Harry. What do you think of these changes in Harry's personality and how have you prepared yourself to interpret these new emotions?

DR: I think that it's a really interesting aspect of the character. I really enjoy playing it so far. I mean, one of the things that I really like about Harry is that he's not the perfect hero. He is in many ways a very flawed hero, very fallible. It's a part that makes him more human and less the archetypal super hero. So that has been really fun to play all that stuff. And um, what else? One of the things that really helped to get into the moment of, you know, anger is listening to perhaps some very angry music or anything or stuff like that. That always helps to create the right atmosphere in your head.

HL: I know that you're a big fan of Gary Oldman. How do you feel about working with him again?

DR: I'm very excited. We haven't actually filmed any of his scenes so far in the film, so I film with him in a couple of months and I'm very, very excited to film with him.

HL: That's great. Well, there are new actors in the film. Could you tell me about Evanna or Helena Bonham Carter?

DR: I haven't filmed with Helena Bonham Carter yet, but Evanna, who I've done many scenes with and actually will tomorrow, she's really, really sweet, she's, you know, very nice. She's the biggest Harry Potter fan in the world. I mean, she loves being on the set. When she first came on the set she was a little bit starstruck, but since then she's settled in really, really well.

HL: Well, according to you, what was the most memorable part of the filmmaking and what was the most nerve-wracking part?

DR: The most nerve-wracking part -

HL: Not even when you were scuba diving?

DR: No, I would say the most nerve-wracking part for me would be during the dragon scene in the fourth film. I had to do a sixty-foot drop, a freefall drop, so that was pretty nerve-wracking. But also I think the most exciting stuff has been working with both Gary Oldman and also, on this film, Imelda Staunton.

HL: Well, for you, what will be the perfect end for Harry Potter?

DR: I think Harry might die. I think what might happen is that Harry will die but Voldemort will be killed either by Harry, or Voldemort will kill Harry and when he does that he will also kill himself.

HL: If you would see a boggart, what would you see?

DR: Ooh, what's my greatest fear? Well, my greatest fear is being buried alive, so I don't know, maybe the boggart would become an undertaker.

HL: Well, can you tell me about your new movie, December Boys?

DR: Yes, absolutely! December Boys was-I had a fantastic time! It was all filmed in Australia, and it was filmed in six weeks. And I just had the most incredible time doing it. It was just, um, you know, it was so much fun and it was very exciting to do something that was not Harry Potter after all that time of playing the same character, which, you know, it doesn't get boring, but it was nice to have a break. It was liberating. And, um, and, yes, it was really very exciting to do something different.

HL: How is your life between movies? I know that you are now in school.

DR: I mean, it's great, it's, you know, nothing much has changed from when I started doing Harry Potter to now, so it's, um, nothing much has changed. I still hang out with friends, go to the cinema, you know, just do normal stuff that everyone does, really. Um, nothing particularly exciting or showbizzy really, so um…

HL: You have a lot of fans here in Mexico and they would like to meet you, so do you have any plans to come down here?

DR: Um, I don't, actually, I've not got any plans at the moment, but I would really like to come to Mexico at some point just to visit, you know what I mean? I've heard so much about it from Alfonso Cuaron when he directed the third Harry Potter film that I, you know, I would really like to go.

HL: Well, does JK Rowling tell you any of the story that will be in the final book?

DR: JK Rowling is a really, really nice woman, but she's also very, very good at keeping secrets, and so I know absolutely nothing about what happens in the last book. And I don't particularly want to. It's nice to get the surprise along with everyone else.

HL: What would you see in the Mirror of Erised?

DR: I really don't know. I really don't know. I mean, I suppose I would just...I wouldn't see something much different from how I am now, I don't think. I mean, I don't know how my deepest desire would manifest itself and I'm not sure.

HL: If you had to choose between Hermione, Ginny, Luna, and Cho Chang, for you, who is the best couple for Harry?

DR: Um, I would say Luna. 'Cause I think her and Harry have both had similar pasts and that we've both had people die who were very close to us. And, um, and I think Harry's got a...I think there's definitely an affinity, a very strong connection with Luna.

HL: Well, last week we saw the new Harry Potter for the Queen's party, and the look that you wore there is a new Harry Potter with short hair.

DR: Yes, I mean, the look has changed, a lot this time. It's, um, my hair's been cut. I mean, in the fourth film my hair was so long and actually I'd forgotten how long it was until only recently when I saw a picture of myself in the fourth film, so it feels lovely to have had my hair cut now.

Well, casting for Half Blood Prince is already well underway and, although these actors have not been confirmed, they are definitely in negotiation with Warner Bros.

So,

Emma Watson has won a BRAVO Golden Otto Award for the Best Female Film Star of 2006! Emma won over the likes of Keira Knightley and Angelina Jolie!

aaand...

Alan Rickman interview

Alan Rickman is a British actor who can segue effortlessly as Professor Skape in the "Harry Potter" franchise, to a collection of diverse characters in the likes of the original "Die Hard", "Love Actually", "Truly, Madly, Deeply", "Sense and Sensibility" and the unforgettable "Galaxy Ques"t. Rickman is in New York for the premiere of his latest film, "Snow Cake", in which he re-teams with Sigourney Weaver in a slice-of-life drama in which he plays a traumatized car accident victim. Rickman took time out of s hectic schedule to talk to PAUL FISCHER.

Is it a refreshing pace for you to go from a Harry Potter to a Snow Cake?
RICKMAN: Variety is definitely one of life’s spices.

What’s your best take on Alex Hughes, your character in Snow Cake?
RICKMAN: There was a screening of Snow Cake during which at one point Niv Fichman the producer said of Alex ‘he’s just doing his best isn’t he’.

This is a very intense character, someone filled with such trauma. What difficulties did you have getting into him?
RICKMAN: My first scene on the film was helped by being soaking wet, through the night, outside, in the cold.

Was this a character you found easy or difficult to identify with? How?
RICKMAN: Not just for me no. It has already been proved to connect very strongly with an audience.

These emotionally complex dramas aren’t an easy sell. You clearly choose something such as this purely for yourself, yes?
RICKMAN: Acting is largely instinctive and reactive. Alex knows nothing and learns everything, which in a way is the metaphorical answer for this question.
.
Now when you first signed on for the first Potter film, did you have any expectations?
RICKMAN: I think Harry Potter should remain the secret domain of children of all ages of course) for as long as possible.

Talk about Sweeney Todd. Who do you play and how exciting is it for you to be part of this dark musical?
RICKMAN: I play Judge Turpin. It’s been great to do. Stephen Sondheim is a genius and Tim Burton is no slouch either.

Will we see you strut your musical talents?
RICKMAN: You will certainly have to put up with my singing.

Are you still attached to The Villa Golitsyn? What is that?
RICKMAN: Yes, it’s a great script. Peter Medak will direct, we hope.

What’s next?
RICKMAN: Nobel Son is still to come out and I hope to be doing a new film from its director Randall Miller this summer.
